With 37 years of experience in 4A advertising agencies, he understands the importance of marketing and brand storytelling. After leaving the agency, Norman set up his own branding studio to continue his passion for brand building. It was when he took this new step that he met onefifteen and started a new chapter of dual branding.

Just as onefifteen is constantly challenging itself, Norman believes that new horizons are an ongoing exploration. With this belief in mind, Norman and his daughter Lily, who is also a director and graphic designer, met, learned and explored each other in this collaboration. The creation of this project is not only about the design itself, but also the brand heritage between Norman, ONBRAND and onefifteen.

Speaking about his collaboration with Taipei and the new YMS by onefifteen project, Norman says he is no stranger to Yangmingshan. Since 1997, when his family settled in Taipei for three years, he has had a strong affection for the city, but he never imagined that there would be such a sacred place on Yangmingshan. He was touched by the tranquility of the land and its rich cultural history, and admired onefifteen's meticulous approach to building a "good life experience", which in turn prompted them to keep digging into the story behind the land and exploring more possibilities for the brand.

The temperature and climate of the mountains separate urban life from nature. This romance across time and space, just like YMS by onefifteen, separates the hustle and bustle of the city and creates a space where people can meditate on themselves. norman thinks of the old banyan trees on Yangmingshan Mountain, which have witnessed the emotions and history of the land, growing luxuriantly, silently, but always rooted here. He hopes that this sentiment can be incorporated into the story of YMS by onefifteen, which will help the brand resonate better with consumers and let more people understand this new exploration, which is the true meaning of "On Brand".
